Editing Post 2
Within this particular blog post, I will be explain the additional details of our editing process that includes factors like how long we spend editing, who exactly is involved in the editing, and whether or not we will need to do more filming of the shot we have already done.
Everybody take part in the editing process, but we each have different roles to play. Sofia is the one who is mainly putting together all of the clips and adding the transitions since she has the best editing software at the moment between all of us. Daniel is helping her by given her ideas on how the add some better transitions and cuts in order to make the film flow well, and he is giving her advice on exactly how to piece the clips cohesively. My role is to review the film during the process to make sure that the runtime is good enough while also making sense. I am essentially acting as the audience during the process, ensuring that what we are doing is working.
Lastly, in terms of whether or nor we will need more filming, at the moment, I do not think that we will need more filming of these clips in order to make the film run smooth. When we were doing the original filming, we made sure to give the shots a little extra time of filming to ensure that we could remove any time that is unnecessary for the length of the film. This way, we could get all of the filming done in one day for the first half of our film without a need for retakes. I have a feeling however, that for the second part of the film, we may need multiple days to film since I believe these shots will be much harder to finalize than the first ones we took.
