Our Film Length

 This post will detail the length of our film and the challenges associated with making out film last a certain amount of time, but not go over a specific amount either.

    Our film length is just under two minutes, which is the length required of us to complete our project. Trying to fit all of the scenes together and editing them so that they slid right under the time limit was no easy task. When we were filming, we made sure to make the scenes in a way so that we could easily edit out parts that were unnecessary and make room for what we really needed. We used some techniques like recording the scene a couple of seconds in advance in order to have a perfect timestamp of when to edit the scene into the film. Something else we did was to add some cuts to the scenes here and there to shorten the scene we felt dragged on a little too long.

    It really was quite the challenge to shorten scenes to fit them into the film. Many of the ideas we had, in the beginning, had to be revised as they would make the runtime of the film way too long for the requirement to be met. There were many different scenes we thought up that had to be flat-out removed to make space. In the end, even with the time constraint, I do believe that we were able to create a cohesive project that has scenes that flow well into one another.
