Sound Post

 In this blog post, I will be describing how our group will implement sound into our film. Seeing as sound is a very important factor in making a film, it is imperative that I explain just what we are thinking to add to our film.

    For the most part in our film, the main source of sound that can be heard is the ambiance is the environment that the main character finds himself in. We opted to mainly use ambiance because we wanted the audience to be fully immersed in the scene with no outside forces. We want viewers to pay attention to the details of the film and not have to worry about sounds that the characters wouldn't interact with.

    While we mainly used ambiance for the majority of the film, what we are also thinking of adding is a low strumming cello playing in the background of some scenes. Using this can add some tension which may cause the viewers to grow a bit more anxious about what is to come as a result of the ominously sounding music playing during select scenes. We won't use this non-diegetic sound all throughout the film, only in certain scenes we feel will need to have some tensions being built up.
