Updated Storyboard

 This blog post will be dedicated to the new version of our storyboard. This version will the one that we took directly from the film itself and I will be detailing the changes made to the original. 

    I will try to list all of the changes made from the original storyboard to this one in order of events as they occur. In the first scene, the main change made is that the camera will now follow the main character as he exits the building where he works, instead of remaining still. Another change is that the camera is not positioned for an extreme-wide shot, it is just a wide shot. The scene then fades to black instead of the original idea of a hard cut.

    Next, for the car scene, we decided not to do a close-up of the main character's hand as we felt that it would not really contribute to the film overall and would only prove to waste time. Once again instead of a hard cut to the next scene, we are choosing to do a fade to black for the transition. While the characters are driving down the road, instead of an over-the-shoulder shot, the camera is simp-ly placed in the middle of the car with the secondary character's arm in frame. Also, the secondary character does not adjust the mirror of the car since we were afraid that the face of the secondary character might get caught by the camera.

    For the garage scene, instead of the P.O.V. shot that we had planned, we decided to go with a long shot from the side of the house since we felt that a P.O.V. shot would have been too difficult for us to have shot in that area. Also, instead of the secondary character sneaking directly into the garage, he only sticks his foot into the garage door detector to stop it from closing. We felt that it would have taken up too much time if we had waited for the secondary character to actually enter the garage, given our two-minute time restraint.

    The final scene has not really changed all that much. The only real difference in the storyboards is that the award pause between the two characters has been removed and they start conversing with each other immediately.
